The opening of Henrik Malyan’s Star in Yerevan


On the 12th of July 2015,  within the Yerevan International Film Festival “Golden Apricot” was opened  the Henrik Malyan’s on the Charles Aznavour Square. At the opening, there were the founder and director of the film festival “Golden Apricot” Harutyun Khachatryan, director Ruben Gevorgyants, composer Tigran Mansurian and many lovers of Henry Malyan’s art. Henrik Malyan was born in 1934 in Telavi, 1945-1951 studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Yerevan, in 1953 he graduated from the Directing advanced courses in State Institute of Theatre and Fine Arts (GITIS) named A. Lunacharski. He worked as a director in various theaters and on television in Armenia, then was adirector in Armenfilm. To the fans of movie, he is known for the films “Triangle” (1967), “We and Our Mountains” (1969), “The Father” (1972), “Nahapet” (1977), “A piece of Sky” (1980), “A Drop of Honey” (1982 ) and many other films.
