On the 23th of September 2015, in cooperation with the Fund “Dialogue of Cultures”, The Mirtsburga Museum and the National Gallery of Armenia was held the solemn opening of the exhibition “Images of one country: The art of photography in the East Germany of 1945-1995”, Which was attended by the Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, the Director of the Museum of Arts of Mirtsburg Thomas Bauer-Friedrich, and the Minister of culture and education of Unbeaten land of Saxony Stefan Dergerhol. The exhibition was presented about 159 photos of 21 photographers of 1945-1995, and represents Germany in these important years for its history, the building and the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and so on. These photos best express the spirit of the time, changes in social relations, the struggle for them, and the victory. The exhibition is more interesting because the photographers from Germany managed to take a look at the fateful parts of for German history and questions with an artistic vision and create art photography of East Germany.
The exhibition will be open until the 3th of November.
